Three Bodies Recovered In Dhanbad Following Illegal Mine Cave-In
Dhanbad, Feb: Three bodies have been recovered on Tuesday afternoon following a cave-in that took place in an illegal mine being operated in Nirsa of the district in Jharkhand. Police sources said that the mine cave-in had taken place on Monday night itself. Approximately 10-12 people are believed to have been trapped in the mine following a cave-in.
On Tuesday morning as soon as the news spread a large crowd gathered. The ECL also sent the Poclain machines on the spot to help in rescue measures. Upon receiving the information police also reached the spot and started the rescue operation with help of locals. So far with the help of the JCB machines, three bodies have been taken out from the debris. Under the Nirsa Police Station area, there are three open mines belonging to ECL and BCCL however for long illegal minning has been rampant in these mines.
