School Girls Visit Hamirpur Police Station To Learn About Rights “Beti Bachao’

Hamirpur (HP), Feb 16: A group of school girls, under the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Abhiyan’ visited the local Police station and were given a briefing about the rights of girls and women. This visit was sponsored by Child Development Project Officer Hamirpur.

During the visit, SHO, Hamirpur, Nirmal Singh told the girl students how to take precaution on various help-lines and social sites in times of calamity. After this, Supervisor and Protection Officer Hamirpur, Pradeep Chauhan provided important information to the adolescent girls regarding registering a complaint with the police about molestation or any other type of harassment and taking the help of the police in such matters.

On this occasion, Child Development Project Officer Balbir Singh Birla thanked the station in-charge Nirmal Singh and also gave text material to the students to enhance their knowledge regarding such issues.
