New Delhi, Feb 14: The Supreme Court on Monday fixed March 2 for hearing on an ongoing dispute involving Kalanithi Maran and KAL Airways against SpiceJet over the transfer of shares.
The KAL Airways in its plea has sought vacation of stay granted by top court on Delhi High Court’s order directing SpiceJet to deposit Rs. 243 crore in its share transfer dispute with its former owner Kalanithi Maran & his company, KAL Airways.
“We will hear it on March 2,” a Bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana said. Senior advocate Maninder Singh for KAL Airways submitted to the apex court that they have considered but not accepted the proposal.

On this, CJI Ramana said: “Have you filed your calculations? On what basis you are saying Rs 920 crores?” Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi appearing for the SpiceJet, requested for the plea to be heard in two weeks by the top court or the Bench led by CJI should direct the high court to hear the 34 petitions.
