Samba Bridge Collapse: Admin Provides Rs One Lakh Aid To Family Of Deceased Labourer
Jammu, Jan 4: District Administration Samba of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday released financial assistance of Rs one lakh to the family of the labourer, who succumbed to injuries received in the Koulpur bridge collapse.
The deceased Madan Lal, a resident of Chak Chandu in Suchetgarh was a construction worker at Border Road Organization.
He breathed his last at GMC Jammu where he was shifted with critical injuries sustained in the mishap on Sunday evening.
Deputy Commissioner Samba expressed pain at the loss of life and said as immediate compensation an amount of one lakh has been released in favor of the widow of the deceased Garo Devi.
The DC also informed that the financial aid is in addition to the Border Road Organization compensation of Rs 2 lakh and Job offer to son and widow.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur Vinay Sharma along with District Social Welfare Officer and District Information Officer met the deceased family at Chandu Chak, Suchetgarh and provided financial assistance to the family.
