Hyderabad, Jan 31 : Prominent photojournalist Gudimalla Bharath Bhushan passed away at his residence here in the wee hours on Monday. He was 66. Bushan has been suffering from multiple health problems for quite some time. He worked as a photojournalist in several English and Telugu newspapers besides magazines. Bhushan was instrumental in popularizing the state by capturing Telangana’s lifestyle and culture.
The photojournalist was also an artist. Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has mourned the death of Bhushan. In a message, Mr Rao said the contribution made by Bharath Bhushan for several decades through his art and photographs has reflected the Telangana culture, living style and historical moments to the world is noteworthy.
He said with the death of Bharath Bhushan, Telangana has lost a rare photographer, artist and photojournalist. Mr Rao conveyed his condolences to members of the bereaved family. Telangana State Media Academy Chairman Allam Narayana, media fraternity, Ministers and among others conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
