MSMEs Gave Employment To 3.28 Crore People In UP
Lucknow, Jan 12: MSMEs, the growth engine of Uttar Pradesh have provided employment to more than 3.28 crore people in 75 districts of the state.
This has come to the fore in the employment survey based on loans taken from banks recently.
The Department of MSME and Export Promotion conducted a survey to find out how many people were employed by MSMEs and small businesses who had taken loans from banks.
Officials here on Wednesday said in the survey, around 11 lakh bank accounts were randomly selected out of 95 lakh bank loan accounts, along with physical verification of beneficiary details.
According to the survey reports, about 56 lakh jobs have been generated through these bank accounts.
The state has received a huge investment of about Rs 4 lakh crore which has accelerated the growth of the MSME sector. If the results of the survey are scaled up by the number of bank accounts, it can be concluded that in the last 5 years, the government has generated more than 3.28 crore jobs only through the MSME sector.
The government has always prioritised the MSME sector to improve employment potential along with employment generation. The state government started Mission Rozgar, which aims to provide training and skills to the people and provide employment opportunities. The MSME sector has proved to be the major force in this regard. Large-scale employment opportunities have been created through this.
Apart from this, the government has started the One District One Product Scheme, which has proved to be important in the industrialization of small districts and rural areas. Through this large-scale employment opportunities have been created in less capital. The massive investment in this sector has not only helped 47 lakh migrant workers, but women in the state have also got employment opportunities.
