Kerala: Three Wagons Of Goods Train Derail, Five Trains Cancelled
Kochi, Jan 28: Train services were disrupted in the Central Travancore on Friday after a goods train derailed at Aluva station in Ernakulam district of Kerala. “Three wagons of the goods train going towards Kollam derailed at the third platform of the Aluva Railway station on Thursday night.
No one injured in the incident,” Railway sources said. The three cement-laden wagons of the goods train left Andhra Pradesh to Kerala. The routes will be cleared on Friday morning and many trains were running late more than 6 hours. Several morning trains are reportedly cancelled due to the accident.
Southern Railway (SR) has cancelled five trains on Friday following the derailment of three wagons of goods train at Aluva Railway station in Kerala on Thursday night.
The Guruvayoor Thiruvananthapuram Intercity Express, Ernakulam Kannur Intercity Express, Kottayam Nilambur Express, Nilambur Kottayam Expressad Guruvayoor Ernakulam Express were cancelled, sources said. The sources also said the Punalur-Guruvayoor Express and the Chennai Egmore-Guruvayoor Express were cancelled partially. The Ernakulam-Pune Express scheduled to leave at 0515 hours will depart 0815 hours today, the sources added.
