J&K LG Visits Slain TV Artist Amreen Bhat’s House
Srinagar, May 29: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday visited the house of TV artist and YouTuber Amreena Bhat who was shot dead at her village Hushru in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district last Wednesday.
Lieutenant Governor expressed condolences to the bereaved family and also assured them of every possible assistance and support. He was accompanied by senior officials.
“The administration will provide every possible assistance and support to the family,” Lieutenant Governor said.
“Met the family members of Amreen Bhat at their residence at Budgam. She was a strong-willed woman and a pillar of support to her family. The administration will provide every possible assistance and support to the family. We shall forever remember Amreen’s indomitable spirit,” Lieutenant Governor tweeted.
LG met the father of the victim father, Khazir Mohammad Bhat, her Sister and Sister-in-Law to offer condolences.
LG also visited the 10-year old Farhan Zubair, nephew of Amreen, who was also injured in the attack.
Amreena Bhat, along with her 10-year-old nephew, was attacked by the militants outside her house on May 25. Amreen had succumbed to her injuries on the way to the Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital in Srinagar.
Former Jammu and Kashmir chief ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti also visited Amreen’s house on May 27 to express their condolences.
