Jagan’s New Cabinet: 4 Women Among 25 Ministers
Vijayawada, April 11: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inducted 25 new ministers on Monday revamping his cabinet for the first time after he came to power in 2019.
There are 4 women in Jagan’s new cabinet. The portfolios for new Cabinet Ministers is expected to be allotted by evening. Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new minsters at a function held near the Secretariat in Velgapudi.
Eleven members of the previous cabinet were retained. The new Cabinet Ministers who were sworn in are: Ambati Rambabu, Amzath Basha Shaik Bepari, Audimulapu Suresh, Botcha Satyanarayana, Budi Mutyala Naidu, Buggana Rajendranath, Chelluboyina Srinivasa Venugopalakrishna. There is also Dadisetti Raja, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Gudivada Amarnath, Gummanur Jayaram, Jogi Ramesh, Kakani Govardhana Reddy, Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao, Kottu Satyanarayana and K Narayana Swamy. Besides, KV Ushasri Charan, Merugu Nagarjuna, Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, Pinipe Viswarupu, Rajanna Dora Peedika, RK Roja, Seediri Appalaraju, Taneti Vanita and Vidadala Rajini.
Reddy after becoming the chief minister in May 2019, had said he would reshuffle cabinet after two-and-half years of his tenure. However, due to Covid-19 pandemic, it was delayed. Assembly polls are expected in 2024.
