Hamirpur (HP), Jan 22 : Nandy, 22, has become the first woman ambulance driver in Himachal Pradesh.
Nandy, who is from Kashmir village in Hamirpur district, took charge in Nurpur area in Kangra district on Friday and said she was happy.
Nancy was trained as a driver in Hamirpur. She has been given the work of running 102 and 108 ambulances in the state.
The parents of the young girl too are joyous.
Kangra ambulance district in-charge Ishan Rana, who handed over the keys of the ambulance to Nancy, said he was optimistic the young woman would perform her duty to the satisfaction of all.
