New Delhi, Jan 6: A fire broke out at Lajpat Rai Market in Chandni Chowk on Thursday morning, Atul Garg, Director, Delhi Fire Service informed.
According to the fire department, a total 13 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the blaze. No casualty was reported in the incident.
“A call was received about the fire at Lajpat Rai Market opposite Red Fort early in the morning, after which 13 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire is now under control, said Garg.
The official said over 80 stalls were gutted in this fire. Investigation is being done to ascertain the actual cause of fire.
