Panaji, Jan 16 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday presented the party’s 13 point agenda for Goa which will go for polls next month.
During a press conference, he released a vision document for the state and said that in the event of a fractured mandate, the party was ready for a coalition government with a non-BJP party.
The 13 point agenda included providing jobs, restarting mining, restoration of land rights, better education, better health infrastructure, corruption free government, Rs 1000 for every woman above 18 years of age, better agriculture, simplified trade and industry norms, development of tourism, free electricity and water and better Roads.
Mr. Kejriwal said the party could go for a coalition with a non-BJP party in the post-assembly elections in the event of a fractured mandate.
”If the people of Goa give the mandate that a coalition would have to be made then we can think of forming a coalition with a non-BJP party. However, I hope that there would not be such a case,” he said.
He said the AAP would not align with the Trinamool Congress ahead of the elections.
To a question, he said he would welcome Utpal Parrikar, son of former Goa Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar, into AAP if he wished.
”I respect Manohar Parrikar ji. I welcome him in the AAP if he wishes to join,” Mr Kerjriwal said.
He claimed that the AAP will form a government in Punjab.
”AAP will form a government in Punjab. People have made a firm decision. AAP is being seen with a hope across the country. None of the parties have done since 1947 what we have done in Delhi,” he said.
AAP has announced to contest all the 40 assembly constituencies in the coastal state which will go for polls on February 14, 2022.
