Chennai, Jan 11: Left hand batsman and off-spinner Washington Sundar has tested positive for COVID-19, a couple of days ahead of the departure of other members of the team for the three-match ODI series against South Aftrica.
Reports received here said Washington Sundar is doubtful for the ODI series beginning on January 19 after he tested positive at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
He has not yet joined the other team mates in Mumbai, from where they were expected to fly to South Africa in a special chartered flight.
