Is Nitish Kumar Ready To Leave Alliance and Form A New One To Stay Afloat In The Turbulence?

As predicted in the pages of this site, Mobilenews24x7, sometime back, the political climate in Bihar seem getting turbulent today. The chatter from the political grapevines hint at a possible split in the alliance between JD(U) and the BJP.

It may be matter of time that, the JD (U) and the BJP alliance in Bihar may suffer a split.

For over last two months, the hiccups among the two alliance partners were noticed and Nitish Kumar had already left a few jitters for the BJP in one or the other way.

Right from Nitish’s new found bonhomie with Tejaswi Yadav and family had its sparks in the BJP camp.

Then over the Agnipath scheme Nitish Kumar had adopted a different posture saying it might weaken the military structure.

Nitish had made no secret about his pitching on for a caste-based census before the NDA which could not elicit any response from the Prime Minister’s corridor which obviously led to some fissures in the alliance.

What has transpired on Monday, is all about speculations in the media about a big crack in the ruling alliance and may be a situation may come that, Nitish might sever the links with the BJP in Bihar.

Speculations are thick in Bihar media that, JD(U) is most likely to look for a hand of help of the Congress in Bihar and about the creation of yet another Maha-alliance taking the young Tejaswi Yadav into the new political face in Bihar.

Talking to Mobilenews24x7 senior journalist and political analyst, Brajesh Mishra holds the view that, “Nitish Kumar has no option but hold on to the hands of the Congress in Bihar to stay afloat in Bihar’s ruling politics”
