New Delhi, Feb 11: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a guideline on the fitness of players, stating that if a team feels that a player without proper fitness is included in the team.
So IPL will nominate an independent doctor to contest the matter and his decisions will be binding.
“In the event, prior to the start of any season (or if a player accedes to a franchise after the start of the season, at which time such player accedes to such franchise), the dispute between the Franchisee and any of the Franchisees it happens.
With regard to the ability of such player to satisfy the conditions relating to match fitness in the player agreement, in accordance with the player contract, the BCCI shall nominate an independent and suitably qualified doctor to determine whether the match fitness of such player fulfills the above conditions and whose decision in this regard shall be final.
“If a Franchisee does not solicit an assessment of the fitness of any of its players at the beginning of the season (or if a player joins a Franchise after the start of the season, at which time such player joins such Franchise), then such Each player shall be deemed match fit in the absence of clear evidence to the contrary which makes such assessment unenforceable and any dispute between a player and the BCCI in respect of such explicit evidence shall be overseen by an independent and suitably skilled doctor nominated by the BCCI.” of the BCCI on Player Regulation.
Meanwhile, in further clarification, the BCCI has asked the teams that players from England and West Indies, which will feature in the three-Test series that begins on March 12 and concludes on March 28, will take part in the three-match Test series will be effectively out.
