Birmingham, March 18 : India’s rising star Lakshya Sen made it to the semifinal of the All England Badminton championships on Friday after his Chinese opponent Lu Guang Zu withdrew at the last minute and the Indian got a walk over. In the semifinal, Lakshya will play the winner of the match between second seed Kento Momota of Japan and eighth seed Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia. Lakshya, who has been in a terrific form, defeated World no. 3 Anders Antonsen of Denmark by 21-16, 21-18 in the pre-quarterfinal on Thursday. The young Indian sensation has created a huge upset earlier as he trounced the World no 1 Danish shuttler Viktor Axelsen in the semifinal of German Open last week.
