Odisha to focus on Startups for Women entrepreneurs amped by CII enterprise

Bhubaneswar, Dec 20 : Over 200 exhibitors, 100 CEOs and 20 PSUs are scheduled to participate in the three-day long CII Enterprise Odisha scheduled to be held at Jharsuguda from January 19 to 21 next.
The event will be organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Odisha Government and various industry associations of the state.
Speaking at the Curtain Raiser of the enterprise, Odisha Industries department Principal Secretary Hemant Sharma on Wednesday said the exhibition is expected to receive over 4000 visitors.
Large and medium enterprises of the state, service sector bodies, national organizations of repute and various departments of Odisha government will participate in the program to showcase their strength and solutions.
Emphasis will be given to start-ups and women entrepreneurs, he said.

The CII Enterprise Odisha will showcase products and services in Technology, sustainability, renewable energy, logistics and infrastructure, security solutions, manufacturing, defence and food processing sectors.
Sharma said many industrial houses have announced plans to set up their projects in places such as Sambalpur, Bargarh, Kalahandi.
The State-level single window meetings are being held every month. At least 4-5 projects sanctioned in each meeting are going to be implemented in districts like Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Nuapada.
In the upcoming single window meeting, 20 proposals have been considered, out of which many projects will also be implemented in these areas of the state, he said.
IPICOL and IDCO Managing Director Bhupendra Singh said, “The state government is focusing on creating local entrepreneurs and providing wider opportunities to MSMEs.
Odisha, he said is nationally known for industrialization and to maintain this all parts of the state need to develop ancillary industries and value additions.
