Patra Chawl Land Scam: ED Questions Sanjay Raut’s Close Associate’s Wife
Mumbai, July 22: Swapna Patkar, wife of Sujit Patkar, who is a close associate of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, was questioned by ED officials on Friday in a money laundering case related to Patra Chawl land scam case.
She appeared in ED office with some documents, after being summoned for the same.
Earlier, the ED had provisionally attached assets worth more than Rs 11.15 crore of Raut’s wife and two of his associates in a money-laundering investigation linked to certain land deals.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut has been summoned by the ED in this case on July 27.
Raut, who has been accusing the BJP-led Union government of misusing Central agencies against its opponents, alleged that this was an act of vengeance and said the ED’s claims against him will fall flat.
