Zelenskyy Urges For Powerful Weapons Against Russia
Kyiv, June 28: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday stressed the importance of a powerful missile defence system to prevent ”Russian terrorist attacks” during his conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
Zelenskyy tweeted: ”Had a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General.”
The Ukrainian President said that he ”coordinated positions on the eve of the NATO Summit in Madrid. Stressed the importance of a powerful missile defence system for Ukraine to prevent Russian terrorist attacks.”
Earlier, Stoltenberg had vowed to step up support to battle the invading Russians while his conversation with him.
He said NATO will step up support for its ”close partner Ukraine, now and for the longer term”. He added: ”NATO Allies stand with you (Zelenskyy).”
Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
