‘West Consistently Covers War Crimes Of Kiev Regime’
Moscow, Feb 25: Western counties consistently cover the Ukrainian authorities, turning a blind eye to Kyev’s war crimes against the civilian population, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.
West Continues to Ignore Facts of Genocide in Donbas – Lavrov “All these years, our Western colleagues have consistently covered the Ukrainian regime, turning a blind eye to war crimes against civilians, turning a blind eye to the murders of women, children, the elderly, to the destruction of civilian infrastructure and silently encouraging the rapid development of neo-Nazism and Russophobia, which ultimately plunged the country into tragedy,” Lavrov told reporters ahead of talks with his Luhansk people’s republics counterpart.
The West continues to ignore the facts of genocide in Donbas, he added. The Foreign Minister also said that Western countries have completely sided with Ukraine in sabotaging and destroying the Minsk Agreements on the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbas.
“The West fully sided with the Kiev regime in its efforts to sabotage and completely destroy the Minsk Agreements. In recent weeks, NATO and the European Union have also been covering Kiev when it had finally decided to take over the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics by force, announced that there was no alternative for Ukraine but to join NATO and threatened to acquire nuclear weapons,” Lavrov said at the meeting with the LPR and DPR senior diplomats.
Lavrov added that “Russia could not remain indifferent” to direct requests by the heads of the DPR and LPR to provide military assistance in the face of Ukrainian aggression.
