Russian Military Accuses Ukraine Of Taking Advantage Of Ceasefire
Moscow, March 5: Russia has fulfilled its obligations in Mariupol and Volnovakha under the ceasefire request from Kyiv, which, on the other hand, abused the pause to regroup its troops rather than ensure the evacuation of civilians, the chief of the Russian National Defense Management Center, Mikhail Mizintsev, said on Saturday.
“As for Mariupol and Volnovakha, Russia has fulfilled all the conditions of the Ukrainian side both in terms of time, route, and security. As a result, we received an operational pause for the nationalists to regroup and strengthen their positions in these areas. I think that comments are unnecessary here,” Mizintsev told a briefing.
Nonetheless, Russia is ready to keep working with Ukraine despite the disruption of the humanitarian operation and its grave effects, he added.
