Russia Destroys Ukrainian Warship Near Odesa, Downs Two Planes
Moscow, May 8: Russia’s defence ministry said on Sunday that it had destroyed a Ukrainian navy ship near Odesa with a missile strike overnight, Khaleej Times reported.
The ministry said in its statement that its missiles had hit a ‘Project 1241’ corvette, a class of Soviet missile corvettes with a Nato reporting name of Tarantul, along side shooting down two Ukrainian SU-24 bombers and a Mi-24 helicopter over the Snake island in the Black Sea at night, the ministry said in a statement.
It claimed to have destroyed a total of four Ukrainian warplanes, four helicopters and an assault boat in the past 24 hours. On the other hand the whole world, the EU and the USA is keen to hear the big announcement of Russian Prez, Vladimir Putin, tomorrow(May 9), the Victory Day of Russia.
