TRS Dares Modi:We will put PM’s pictures at where the cost of commodities are rising: TRS MLC Kavitha
Nizamabad, Sep 7 : Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLC and former Parliament member from Nizamabad K Kavitha on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pictures will be set up at where prices have skyrocketed due to the ‘Centre’s inefficient politics’.
Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana CM K.Chandrshekar Rao, while speaking at the state government’s flagship scheme Aasara pension’s distribution event held here, assured that we will put them ( PM’s pictures) on gas cylinders, packets of urea, petrol and diesel stations, oil and dal packets, whose prices cost are rising.
It may be noted here that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during her recent visit to PDS outlet in Kamareddy, questioned the local administration and suggested PM’s flexis should be put after fair prices hops because Centre contributes funds for essential commodities.
Responding over the PM’s pictures row, Kavitha said: “Sitharaman ji, if you want the Prime Minister’s pictures to be put up, we will surely do so. We will put them up on gas cylinders, packets of urea, petrol and diesel stations, oil and dal packets. Wherever the costs are rising, we will put up pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
The TRS MLC said it is good that she (Union Finance Minister) came, we are happy to receive guests. “But she went to a ration shop and picked a fight with the Sangareddy District Collector about the Prime Minister’s pictures not being put up.”
She said that in the country’s history, never were Prime Ministers’ pictures put up outside PDS shops. “Not in Nehru’s time, Manmohan Singh or even Vajpayee, no one has had their pictures put up.
Launching a fresh attack on the Modi government, Kavitha accused the BJP Government of depriving the poor of their fundamental rights and said that if the Government at the Centre cannot provide for peoples’ needs and support State Governments to be able to support their people, the BJP has no right to ridicule leaders.
She said that the BJP Government shows no support for KCR Government’s flagship and beneficial schemes and that reflects on the intention of which government really cares about the larger good of our society.
