Bengaluru, July 11: AICC President Sonia Gandhi has set up a Political Affairs Committee (PAC) for the Karnataka Assembly polls scheduled next year.
AICC General Secretary Incharge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala has been appointed as its convenor comprising 22 members.
Other members of the panel includes Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar, former chief ministers Siddaramaiah and M Veerappa Moily, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, senior party leaders BK Hariprasad, Dinesh Gundurao, Margret Alva, DK Suresh and party’s task force member Sunil Kanugolu.
Sonia also appointed five AICC Secretaries — D Sridhar Babu, PC Vishnunadh and Roji M John (All MLAs), Mayura S Jayakumar and Abhishek Dutt, who will be attached with Surjewala, with immediate effect.
