Shimla, Sep 17 : Union Minister Smriti Irani urged the women of Rampur to defeat the Congress party in Rampur Assembly ending the 71-yr rule of King and Queen on the pattern of Amethi parliamentary constituency.
She was addressing a public meeting at Dutnagar of Rampur on Saturday to canvass in support of ruling party in the state. She said the way women including common people in Amethi defeated Rahul Gandhi of Congress, who had held the family seat of Nehru-Gandhi family for years, similarly this time Rampur Bushahr would end the dynasty politics of 71 years of Virbhadra Singh and his wife Rani Pratibha Singh who is Congress president of the state.
She hoped that lotus flower would end the rule of king and queen in the Congress bastion. She observed that the way women have made their attendance here in large numbers, it clearly showed the mood of change. She said the way BJP has scripted new history of development in the last four years keeping in mind the common man of Rampur, it could not be possible for till date.
She said the Congress never paid any heed to the health of the general public. Since the BJP government came to power at the Centre, more than 10 crore families are now covered under Ayushman Bharat where they are getting free health services up to 5 lakh and in Himachal 4.37 lakh families are covered under this popular scheme.
She said health Institution like AIIMS was being set at Bilaspur, PGI Center at Una, Medical Device Park at Nalagarh and Bulk Drug Park at Una. Earlier on her visit to Rampur she was accorded a grand welcome by the workers of Mahila Morcha of BJP Mandal Rampur Bushahr
