Shinde Govt In Maha To Complete Its Full 2.5 Yrs Term: Activist
Pune, July 4: Rubbishing claims of NCP supremo Sharad Pawar that Maharashtra should be ready for mid-term assembly election against the backdrop of recent developments in state politics, city-based social activist Hemant Patil on Monday expressed that new Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and BJP-led government in the state will complete its full two-and-a-half-year term.
In a statement here, he said going by the past records of Pawar, his statements were always opposite of his claims.
Patil, who is also the national president of India Against Corruption, said Shinde is gaining popularity among the masses day by day and is overcoming all obstacles created by previous Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his men.
Shinde has more than two-thirds majority of his own MLAs, apart from BJP who made him the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, he asserted.
He also exuded confidence that Shinde will also win the battle in Supreme Court on July 12, where Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray has filed a case seeking suspension of dissident Sena MLAs from the House for anti-party activities.
Making an appeal to CM Shinde to look after poor people who were deprived of benefits of the schemes launched by previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government, Patil made an appeal to Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis to solve several issues in Maharashtra like political reservation for OBCs and others on priority for the benefit of people.
