New Delhi, Feb 13 : Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Sunday took a dig at the Centre over the issue of rising unemployment and claimed the percentage of suicides over the same increased by 60 per cent under the present dispensation. “In the last six years, suicides due to unemployment increased by 60 per cent. Between 2018 and 2020, on an average 12 persons committed suicide per day because of unemployment,” the Congress leader wrote in a tweet in Hindi. Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for repeatedly questioning the grand old party about what it had done during its regime, she said, ” For how long will you deviate from the real issues? The youth are in pain. Talk on real issue.” The Congress party has been accusing the ruling BJP that it has failed to address the issue of rising unemployment in the country.
