Mann Unveils Phone Number To Make Punjab Corruption-Free
Hussainiwala (Punjab), March 23: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday announced a telephone number to which he urged people to send him video recordings if anyone sought bribes in the state. He made the announcement after visiting the ancestral home of revolutionary Bhagat Singh who along with Sukhdev and Rajguru were hanged on this day in 1931 at the Lahore Central Jail by the British.
He said anyone who was asked to pay money or commission to get his work done should send the video recording to 9501 200 200, which he described as an Anti-Corruption Action Line. “Today is the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru,” he said, speaking in the backdrop of their garlanded statues. “What we are doing today will be a tribute to the martyrs.” Mann said that once such a video was received, whoever was found guilty would be punished — be it an officer, an MLA or even a Minister. “I want the support of 3 crore Punjabis in this endeavour. If you cooperate, I assure you that Punjab will become corruption-free in one month.” UNI
