Mah Breaking: Fadnavis to helm chief ministership for 3rd time
Pune, June 30 : The BJP leader, Devendra Fadnavis may take oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the third time on Friday, party sources said.
He will be accompanied by Shiv Sena rebel leader Eknath Shinde and Bharatiya Janata Party state president Chandrakant Patil, among others, who will be sworn in as ministers, souces said.
As Chandrakant Patil will be sworn in as a minister, the post of Guardian Minister of Pune will also go to him, top sources in BJP told UNI here Thursday.
Girish Bapat, the MP from Pune, was the Guardian Minister of Pune for about four years during the previous five years of the Fadnavis government. After Bapat,this responsibility came to Chandrakant Patil. After that in the assembly elections of 2019, state president Patil became an MLA from Kothrud assembly constituency from Pune. Therefore, Patil’s word was considered final in the politics of Pune.
As the government is going to be changed, , it is being said the post of Pune’s caretaker minister will remain with Patil.
