Imran Pushed Pakistan Into Anarchy: Sharif
Islamabad, April 3: Leader of Opposition in Pakistan’s National Assembly Shebaz Sharif on Sunday slammed the Prime Minister Imran Khan and said he has put the country into anarchy.
The above remarks by the opposition leader came following Qasim Khan Suri, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, discontinued the session deeming the no-trust vote as “unconstitutional”.
“It is nothing short of a high treason. IK (Imran Khan) has pushed the country into anarchy. Niazi and his cohort will not be allowed to go scot-free,” Sharif said on his twitter.
Sharif said that hope Supreme Court of the country will play its role to uphold the constitution. “There will be consequences for blatant and brazen violation of the Constitution. Hope SC will play it’s role to uphold the Constitution”, Sharif said.
Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also slammed the Pakistan government saying it has violated the constitution. “Government has violated constitution. did not allow voting on no confidence motion. The united opposition is not leaving parliament. Our lawyers are on their way to Supreme Court”, Zardari tweeted.
He also urged for protecting the Pakistan’s constitution. We call on ALL institutions to protect, uphold, defend and implement the constitution of Pakistan,” Zardari said on his tweet.
Maryam Nawaz, Pakistani politician and the daughter of former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif also criticised the goverment calling it ‘mafia’. “Mark their faces. This is the group, the mafia, that has attacked & abrogated the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. They all must be tried under article 6,” Mariyam tweeted.
“No one should be allowed to distort the constitution of Pakistan to save his seat. If this crazy and obsessive person is not punished for this crime, then the law of the jungle will prevail in this country after today!,” she said in another tweet.
