Chandigarh, June 11: Haryana BJP chief Om Prakash Dhankhar congratulated newly elected BJP candidate for Rajya Sabha from Haryana, Krishan Lal Panwar and the BJP-supported Independent candidate Kartikeya Sharma.
Dhankhar expressed happiness over Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi voting in the saffron party’s favour based “on his conscience”.
He also thanked Independent MLA Balraj Kundu for helping by being absent during the voting.
The Congress suffered a setback in Haryana as Panwar and Sharma won the two seats for which elections were held.
Congress’s Ajay Maken lost on account of not having secured any second preference votes.
