Congress Walks Out During Governor Address
Shimla, Feb 23: All members of the Congress party stormed out of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly when Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arelekar was reading his address on Wednesday, saying the contents were “a bundle of lies”.
On the very first day of the Budget Session, Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri interrupted the Governor alleging that he was reading the content provided by the government which he dubbed “a bundle of lies”. The Congress members then trooped out of the House shouting slogans. Agnihotri said outside the House that the Jai Ram government had been rejected by the people and the Governor’s address was not based upon the reality.
