CBI Raids On Lalu Attack On Democracy: RJD
New Delhi, May 20: Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha on Friday slammed the Center for a CBI raid against Lalu Prasad Yadav at multiple locations in Patna, called it an attack on the democratic system and warned that the BJP will pay a heavy price for this.
“We are not surprised that CBI raids took place against Laluji but we were saddened about the fact that, in which direction the BJP government is taking the democratic value of this country,” he said in a video statement.
Jha said that in recent days leaders of the opposition in Bihar raised certain issues including caste-based census and unemployment that’s why they have unleashed the “caged parrot” against Laluji and his family.
On Friday, CBI conducted raids against the former Railway Minister at multiple locations in Patna and registered a fresh corruption case against Lalu Prasad and his family members. Informed sources said the fresh case was linked to an alleged land-for-jobs scam during the period when Lalu Prasad was the Railway Minister. Jha said: “If they think that such tactics will create fear among Lalu and his family members, it means they don’t understand Bihar politics.”
