CBI raids due to growing closeness between Nitish and Tejaswi : RJD
Patna, May 20 : Senior RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari alleged that Narendra Modi government got conducted raids at 17 locations of party chief Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi on Saturday due to growing closeness between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on caste census in Bihar. Tiwari told media persons here that growing closeness between Chief Minister Kumar and Tejaswi on conducting caste census in Bihar, had made BJP restless and it was the reason behind CBI raids at 17 locations of Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi, former Bihar Chief Minister. It could be a warning for Chief Minister Kumar not to come close to Tejaswi and also desist from moving ahead for caste census, he added. RJD leader said that BJP and RSS had been opposed to caste census. Both BJP and RSS were apprehensive over the fact that caste census would bring to light the realities about population of various castes and how much they were getting benefits of government schemes, he added. Such realities could not be suppressed any more, he warned. As it is, CBI conducted rates at 17 locations of Lalu and Rabri in Delhi, Patna and Gopalganj inconnection with land for job scam in Railways during the tenure of Lalu as Railway Minister. Lalu vas Railway Minister during the regime of Congress led UPA government at the Centre from 2004 to 2009. A fresh case has been registered against Lalu by CBI in connection with land for job scam in Railways.
