BS Yediyurappa’s Granddaughter Soundarya Found Dead, Suicide Suspected
Hyderabad: The granddaughter of former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa was found hanging at her residence in Bengaluru on Friday morning.
It is being suspected that Soundarya, who was 30 years old, committed suicide. She is the daughter of Yediyurappa’s daughter Padmavati, who is not politically active.
Soundarya was a doctor at the M.S. Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her residence in Vasanth Nagar. Her body was taken to Bowring Hospital.
Soundarya married a fellow doctor in 2018 and they had a child.
News 18Â reported that Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who replaced Yediyurappa last year, rushed to Bowring Hospital.
Soundarya, in her early 30s, was a doctor at MS Ramaiah hospital in Bengaluru. According to the police, she was living with her husband, a fellow doctor, and a six-month-old child at an upscale apartment near Mount Carmel College.
Soundarya was the daughter of Yediyurappa’s first daughter Padma, the eldest in the family.
So far, there is no confirmation on a death note left behind her.
