BREAKING: Imran Remains PM Of Pakistan, No-Trust Vote Dismissed
Islamabad, Apr 3: Pakisdtan PM Imran Khan got a lease of life. As the no-confidence motion has been dismissed by the Deputy- Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
The National Assembly session has been suspended after the Speaker ruled that the no-trust vote was part of a foreign conspiracy. He disallowed the vote.
The Opposition has protested in the House. And Prime Minister Imran Khan met President Arif Alvi to discuss the current political situation, sources said.
About a month after Opposition parties in Pakistan submitted a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly. On Sunday a delegation of Pakistan’s opposition lawmakers submitted a no-trust motion against National Assembly Speaker (NA) Asad Qaiser. More than 100 opposition lawmakers have signed the no-confidence motion, including Ayaz Sadiq, Khursheed Shah, PPP’s Naveed Qamar and JUI-F’s Shahida Akhtar Ali.
