Mumbai, June 25: The core committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met here on Saturday to decide the future of action after Shiv Sena legislators revolted against the leadership of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Former Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis presided over the meeting.
A BJP sources said “some decisions” will be taken on Saturday but did not elaborate. Fadnavis returned on Saturday morning to Mumbai.
Those attending the meeting include Chandrakant Patil and Ashish Shelar.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has withdrawal all security provided to rebel Shiv Sena MLAs who are now said to be in BJP-ruled Assam.
