Ballia (UP), Feb 28 (UNI) Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Monday attacked BJP and said that the party does not have any problem with dynastic politics, it has problem with her family because it will never bow before them. Addressing public meetings in support of the party candidates, she said “BJP people talk about dynastic politics. Which dynasty politics. They have taken sons of all the leaders in their party, so with which dynasty politics did they have a problem with? They have problems only with my family because it will never bow before them. And they know that whatever they do, we will neither compromise with BJP nor bow before it.”
She said, “BJP leaders point fingers at my family, they say that we are connected with terrorism? I said yes, I am connected with the terrorism, my father was assassinated by the terrorists, my grand mother was assassinated by the terrorists. My father and my grandmother gave their blood for the country. And these people who are selling the property of the country and running the government for big industrial houses are today pointing fingers at those martyrs.” Priyanka said that today farmers in UP were not getting the price of their produce.
“They don’t get fertilizer, electricity doesn’t come, but bills do come. Inflation is out of control and petrol and diesel prices are skyrocketing. Farmers work in their farms day in and day out, night and day, but there is no income after so much hardship,” she said. “This government was bringing such laws where you work hard and struggle and big industrial friends of the Prime Minister get benefitted. An agitation was launched across the country against those black laws. We were standing with the farmers.
The PM of the country and the Chief Minister of this state never stepped out of their houses to hold talks with the farmers,” she said. Priyanka said that lakhs of youths are unemployed, farmers are failing to earn and traders are under distress due to new policies. “Nothing is being said about empowering women and their security. Have you ever thought about for whom these policies are being framed? Open your eyes and see that whatever politics is being done in the country and the state is being done for the select few industrialists. Employment generating institutions are resources are being sold,” she said.
