Patna, Aug 24: In a surprised move Bihar assembly speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha resigned from his post on Wednesday.
Sinha announced his resignation during his address to the special session of the house in view of
the no confidence notice given by some members of the lower house against him.
Announcing his resignation Vijay Sinha denied all charges made against him through the no confidence notice and said that he followed the norms and functioned according to the laid rules
of the house.
He also rejected the charges of being dictator and added that he performed to maintain the dignity
of the house.
Announcing his resignation, Vijay Kumar Sinha adjourned the house till 2:00 p.m.
