New Delhi, Feb 2: The Samajwadi Party on Wednesday claimed that if Akhilesh Yadav comes back to power in Uttar Pradesh, his government would construct a better Ram temple in Ayodhya and that too at a much faster pace than the present BJP government. The Samajwadi Party senior leader was responding to Home Minister Amit Shah’s swipe at Akhilesh Yadav in an election rally in Chitrakoot.
“The Home Minister said in Chitrakoot that nothing can stop construction of temple, no matter how hard Akhilesh tries. I want to ask who is trying to stop the construction of the temple,” asked Ramgopal Yadav adding “If Akhilesh Yadav comes to power, a better temple will be built and built at a much faster pace.” Yadav was speaking in the Rajya Sabha on a motion of thanks to the President’s address. He also slammed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for allegedly “using unparliamentary language” in election rallies.
“The government has not learnt anything from the past. From top to bottom, the same divisive politics is being used to win elections. No one can think that the CM of Uttar Pradesh has fallen to the level of using unparliamentary language… even abusive words for Akhilesh Yadav,” said the SP leader. He further asked, “Will you get votes by hurling abuses on Akhilesh Yadav or by terming an entire community gunda. Rather people will unite against you.” Ramgopal Yadav also questioned the government on its vaccination claims. “The government always says it has made a record in vaccination. How can smaller countries vaccinate so many people ? They don’t have population like India’s. Do you expect England to vaccinate these many people,” said Yadav.
