In next phase, we are planning to identify eight spots in the city to do such plantation followed by twenty other in third phase, he further said. “During the July month we have planned to undertake bamboo plantation in 200 villages in eight districts of Marathwada along river Godavari and Manjara,” he added.
“While explaining the importance of plantation of Bamboo Mr Patel said generating electricity by using coal as their fuel releases 5.90 lakh metric tons of carbon each day. To absorb this large amount the green cover should go up and Bamboo plantation can be done for it as it is helpful to farmers also as well as balance of environment,” he added.
