Bhubaneswar: A youth stabbed his girlfriend with a knife multiple times and left her dead as she kept insisting for getting married. The incident occurred at Surat in Gujarat.
The deceased has been identified as Luni Das of Bhubaneswar in Odisha and the accused is Jagannath Goud. He has been arrested by the Surat Police.
According to police, Luni had been in a relationship with the accused for the past three years and she had been pressing upon him to marry her.
Around 15 days back, Jagannath brought her to Surat. He took her to an isolated area and stabbed her with a knife for around 49 times.
The body was later recovered by police. After examining CCTV footage and call records, the police managed to catch Jagannath.
