Bhubaneswar/Cuttack, Aug 8: On a the second day of his two-day visit to Odisha, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has paid obeisance at Shri Lingaraj temple amid tight security on auspicious Monday of Holy month of Shravan. As per schedule, straight from temple, he visits State BJP Chief Samir Mohanty’s residence for breakfast and then leaves for Cuttack programs.
The union minister, offered ‘Jalabhishek’ to Lord Lingaraj and performed a Puja near Goddess Parvati inside the temple. For security reasons, 10 platoons of police force were deployed for his visit to the temple this morning.
Accompanied by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the Home Minister has arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here on Saturday night, After arriving, Shah took to Twitter and wrote,

He is scheduled to attend several events during his two-day visit to the state. After visiting Lingaraj temple, Shah is scheduled to visit Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthplace museum in Cuttack and pay floral tribute to Netaji on the occasion of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Then he will attend the 75th anniversary of leading vernacular daily Prajatantra at Indoor Stadium in the city.
Home Minister Amit Shah, is also scheduled to visit the BJP office in Bhubaneswar, where he will hold discussions with senior party leaders about their report cards. Before leaving to Delhi, on Monday evening, he will attend a book reading of Modi@20 here.
The Odisha Govt. has made elaborate security arrangements in the Twin City for Amit shah’s two-day Odisha program.
