Thunder Storm Brings Respite To Odisha Albeit Claiming Two Human Lives
Bhubaneswar, May 22: Footfalls of the monsoon through a thunder storm has brought some respite from the sizzling summer for last over one month.
The thunder storm that struck on the state in the early hours of Sunday, has given tremendous relief to the state and in a few incidents the lightening have claimed some human lives at different places. Two deaths have been reported in Odisha due to lightening.
The thunder storm precedes the on set of an early monsoon this year, as predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
Alerts have been sounded in about 14 districts of Odisha those may experience thunder storm coupled with lightening and heavy rain.
But in between the heat wave may return for some time with mercury rising by 1 to 2 degree Celsius.
