Bhubaneswar: Over one kilogram of brown sugar was seized by STF, Bhubaneswar, during a raid with the help of Balasore district police near Balasore railway station under Sahadevkhunta Police Station in Balasore district on Monday.
Two peddlers identified as Sk Raju and Amzad Khan were apprehended during the raid. During search contraband brown sugar weighing 01 kg 060 gm, One Hero CD Delux M/C and other incriminating materials were recovered and seized from their possession.
The accused persons could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband materials, for which they were arrested. A case was registered and further investigation is on.
Special drive against narcotic drugs is continuing. Since 2020, STF has seized more than 60 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin, 202 Gram Cocaine and more than 111 quintals of Ganja/Marijuana, Opium 750 gram and arrested more than 162 drug dealers/peddlers.
