Odisha: Rain & Thunderstorm Alerts; IMD’s Yellow Warning
Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: Several parts of Odisha are expected to experience fresh spell of rain from Feb 24 onwards. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorm activities in different districts of the State.
As per IMD, there will be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next 3 to 4 days over the districts of Odisha.
Weather is most likely to prevail dry over the districts of Odisha till February 24.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of north Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of south Odisha.
Thunderstorm with lighting is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Kandhamal.
