Odisha Non-tax Revenue Collection Exceeds Target During Last 3 Years: FM
Bhubaneswar, July 25: Odisha government has collected non tax revenues more than its target during the financial year 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22, State Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari told the state Assembly on Monday.
Replying to a question of Amar Prasad Satpathy (BJD),the Minister said during 2019-20, the state has collected Rs 14, 647 .20 crore against the target of Rs 12,500 crore and Rs 19,528.06 crore during 2020-2021 against the target of 17,650 crore.
Similarly during 2021-22, the government collected Rs 54, 256.81 crore towards its own non tax revenue against the target of Rs 20,000 crore.
The Finance Minister said the collected amount is 117.18 percent more than the targeted amount in 2019-20, 110.58 percent more than the target fixed for 2020-2021 and 271.28 percent more than the target fixed for 2021-22.
Pujari said the government is trying to collect more non tax revenue by leasing out new mines, reutilisation of government resources lying in banks and through one time settlement of dues
through discussion pending due to various court cases and by directing the officials to collect
the arrears.
