Governor Koshyari Honours Journos With ‘Patrakar Bhushan’ Award

Mumbai, Jan 27: Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Thursday presented the ‘Patrakar Bhushan’ award to various journalists from across the state.
Held at Raj Bhavan here, the ceremony saw the felicitation of ‘Ekmat’ Editor Mangesh Dongrajkar who was awarded the ‘Darpankar Balshastri Jambhekar Smruti Puraskar’. While, journalists Ajit Mandke from ‘Lokmat’, Rahul Kshirsagar from ‘Sakal’ and Umesh Tare from ‘Jivadani Times’ were also awarded, informed an official communique.
The ‘Adarsh Prashasak Awards’ were given to women administrator Dr Padmashri Benade and Assistant Municipal Commissioner Kalpita Pimpale for their outstanding performances. Similarly, the Governor also distributed several awards instituted by the Maharashtra Gramin Patrakar Sangh(MGPS). MLA Sanjay Kelkar, MGPS President Eknath Birwatkar, Vice President Shankar Rahane and Secretary Shrikant Chalke were present.
