Bhubaneswar, Jan 15: This time, the trophy is for the Gazetted Officers’ Category. Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, Bhubaneswar, has again won Union Home Minister’s trophy for the best police training institution at national level for 2020-21 in the Gazetted Officers’ Category.
The academy was established in 2005. Notably, it had won the Best Police Training Institution at Eastern Zonal level for the years 2015-16, 2016-17, 2018-19 and 2019-20 in different categories.
The Academy will also get a reward of Rs. 20 lakh (in the form of grant-in-aid) for this recognition.
Additional DG Arun Sarangi is currently the Director of the Police Academy.
