Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will review the covid preparedness in the state with senior health officials on Tuesday in the wake of recent
covid surge in China and other countries
The state government will submit a report to the union health ministry after the review
meeting, Director of Health Services Bijaya Mohapatra said.
Patnaik will review the covid preparedness with the Chief District Medical Officers, Officials
of the Medical Colleges and Hospitals in the presence of the Health minister and the secretary Health.
The review meeting ,official sources said, would take stock of the availability of beds in the hospitals, isolation beds in the hospitals and oxygen stock position such as Oxygen plants and availability of oxygen cylinders.
The state government has decided to conduct a mock drill in all the district headquarter hospitals, IGH, Rourkela and Capital Hospitals in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday on the Covid preparedness.
Meanwhile, state School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash has stated that the class X and XII examinations in the state will be conducted with covid guidelines.
He had appealed to the students to wear masks and maintain social distance as a precautionary measure.
